The concept for a Hydroid Alt Helmet.
After some very rough pencil sketches I started concepting directly in Zbrush working out the basic shapes, testing different ideas and doing quick paint-over in Photoshop to explore alternate versions.
-After deciding wich direction to go I create a quick block out of the main shapes in Zbrush and export the different views.
-Details and little changes are done in Photoshop painting over in values.
-Different gradient maps are then used to work out a color scheme.
-Additional paintovers to sketch out the emissives and some refining of the overall result.
